DTM V3 is available! Click here for more information
The 'Save to Scriptura Format' feature effortlessly creates more than 15 widely-used output formats (TIFF, PDF, HTML, RTF, PostScript etc) from a resolved DTM document, thus enabling expanded delivery channels like the web, email, fax, print and archive. This is accomplished by linking DTM with Scriptura , the latest WYSIWYG technology from Inventive Designers to create any type of document or business output from any type of data, and deliver to any type of output channel. Scriptura runs on any platform (including iSeries) and can be integrated into any type of application, because it is based on open standards (XML, XSL).
Because of DTM's revolutionary XML architecture, iSeries users now have the power and flexibility to produce the newest output formats for print, fax, email and archive from resolved DTM documents.
And all this without changing your existing DTM applications or documents!
How does it work?
- The resolved output of a DTM document is saved to a Scriptura format.
- The Scriptura Server reads this format and renders it to PDF, AFP, HTML, PCL, PS, RTF, TIFF, JPEG, SVG, PNG, TPCL, ZPL, XSL-FO, XSLT or XML. A post-processing module for output (re-)sorting/splitting/merging, adding bar codes/OMR codes and other operations is also available.
- The Scriptura Server can then deliver the output format to a specific output device (like print, email or fax).
This is accomplished by linking DTM with Scriptura .
Hardware requirements and integration options
Scriptura runs on any platform supporting Java 1.4 or 1.5. this includes the iSeries from IBM with i5/OS V5R2 onwards, but may also be installed on Windows, Linux, AIX, HP-UX, Sun Solaris and Apple Mac. And since Scriptura is completely based on open standards , it can easily and seamlessly be integrated into all existing (legacy) applications.
